Jules Brody, with Baby

Susan Linden fosters Dals and does home visits.

She answers the telephone, receives the email, picks up the snail mail at the Post Office, pays the bills, keeps the records, and maintains the Web site.

Susan has done extensive training with her own Dalmatians, and has participated in AKC Obedience and Agility Trials.

Recently retired after twenty-six years of teaching at Northern Illinois University, Susan now spends most of her time with her Dals.

She shares her life with Jules Brody, also retired, who pays the rescue phone bill and cooks gourmet meals, usually surrounded by a tribe of Dalmatians waiting for a tasty morsel to drop on the floor in the kitchen.

Pat Burke, with Maggie, Frex, and Arnie

Nancy Rigler helps with transporting Dals and home visits.

She fosters Dals, and helps with a wide variety of tasks.

Nancy has had Dalmatians for most of her adult life.

Nancy shares her life with husband, Patrick Burke, who also helps transport.

Both recently retired, Nancy and Pat spend time every year traveling and camping with their Dalmatians.

Brad Trainor, with a Basset friend

Deb Trainor fosters Dals and coordinates long transports.

She also does home visits, and helps with anything else that needs to be done.

Deb is one of the founders of the Humane Society of Livingston County, and she is often the first person anyone in the area calls about a stray dog.

An accomplished horsewoman, Deb competes with her horse, Will, and often walks away lots of blue ribbons.

Deb and her husband, Brad, live near Pontiac, Illinois, and own the Old Log Cabin restaurant, one of the landmarks on Old Route 66.

Linda and Mike Kieffer

Linda Kieffer fosters Dals, especially the long-term fosters.

She loves the puppies and the senior Dals and others who need extra-loving care.

Linda has had Dalmatians all of her adult life. She has worked as a vet tech, and has considerable training experience.

Linda owns the K-9 Country Club in Mattoon, Illinois, where she grooms and boards dogs. She also rescues cats and dogs in the Mattoon area.

Linda's husband Mike works with computer systems, but takes time to photograph the Dals in their care for our Web site.

Ken Kempisty, with Minnie at a recent show

Joann Kempisty plans and coordinates special events.

She, along with her husband, Ken, transports Dals from shelters to foster homes, does home visits, and prepares mailings.

Joann and Ken rescued their first Dalmatian fourteen years ago and have been in love with the breed ever since.

They are both retired and spend a lot of time at their home in northwestern Wisconsin with their two Dalmatians, Sarge and Minnie.

Both Dals have become accomplished boaters and fishermen!
